You can learn more from our asked questions

Navigating the world of UK higher education can be daunting. Our Frequently Asked Questions section is designed to simplify your journey. Here, you’ll find quick, reliable answers to the most common queries covering everything from initial university eligibility and course selection to complex topics like finance, scholarship opportunities, and the essential UK Student Route visa process. We provide the clarity you need to move forward with confidence.

Eligibility is based on your academic qualifications (e.g., A-Levels, IB, High School Diploma, or local equivalent), English language proficiency (usually via IELTS or a recognized equivalent), and sometimes relevant work experience. We will conduct a free profile assessment to match your grades and course interests to suitable UK universities.

Your Personal Statement is crucial. We offer guidance, structure outlines, and multiple rounds of proofreading and editing to ensure your statement is compelling, relevant to your chosen course, and meets the specific requirements of the universities. We do not write it for you, but we help you perfect your own voice.

The Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) is required for non-UK students studying a full-time course. Once you accept an offer, the university provides a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). We guide you step-by-step through the visa application process, help prepare the necessary financial and supporting documents, and advise on interview preparation.

The UKVI may require you to attend a short interview (called a Credibility Interview or a video call) to ensure you are a Genuine Student. This is to confirm your reasons for studying in the UK, your knowledge of the course, and your financial and post-study plans. We provide mock interview preparation to help you succeed.

Yes, students on a degree-level course or above at a recognised institution are usually permitted to work:

Up to 20 hours per week during term time.

Full-time during scheduled university holidays.

Generally, only students sponsored on a Postgraduate level course (Master's or PhD) that lasts 9 months or more, or government-sponsored students, are permitted to bring dependants. Rules are stricter for new students on shorter or lower-level courses.

The standard requirement is typically an overall IELTS score of 6.0 or 6.5 for most undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with no band lower than 5.5 or 6.0. However, specific universities or highly competitive courses (like law or medicine) may require a higher score.

CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. It is a unique electronic reference number assigned to you by your UK university (Student Sponsor) after you have met all the conditions of your unconditional offer (e.g., submitted final grades, paid the deposit). You must have this number to apply for your visa.

You can apply for your visa up to 6 months before your course start date if you are applying from outside the UK. For applications made inside the UK (e.g., extensions), the limit is 3 months. We advise applying as soon as you have your CAS and correct financial evidence ready.

The core documents are:

  1. A current, valid passport.

  2. Your CAS number.

  3. Proof of financial maintenance (bank statements/loan letter).

  4. Proof of English Language proficiency (unless exempt, this is usually shown on your CAS).

  5. Your Tuberculosis (TB) test certificate (if required by your country of residence)

The Graduate Route allows international students who successfully complete a degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) to stay in the UK for 2 years (3 years for PhD) after graduation to work or seek employment. It does not require a job offer or salary threshold.
